Double the new arrivals among our ring-tailed lemurs!
At Jaderpark, there is double the reason to celebrate:
Our female ring-tailed lemur, Maati, gave birth to twins.
The two curious lemur babies are thriving and are now exploring their surroundings with increasing boldness. Sometimes they still cuddle up tightly to their mom, Maati; at other times, they already venture out on their own little expeditions through their enclosure.
It is particularly delightful to observe that the entire lemur family pitches in with the childcare. While Grandma Anita is happy to take one of the youngsters under her wing, the two older brothers focus mainly on playing, climbing, and romping around together.
The male lemur, Gary, currently prefers to observe the goings-on from a bit of a distance—at least while the twins are still so small.
For our visitors, these two little lemurs thus provide many special—and wonderfully wild—moments every single day.
